Divsion I Golf Tee Times are set for First Round

DIVISION I GOLF: DAY ONE

On the boy’s side, Hamilton is the top-seeded team with Perry close behind. Brophy is taking the third spot. Perry senior Caden Christopherson is the top-ranked boy with Sunrise Mountain junior Ben Lorenz and O’Connor senior Jake Carlson filling out the top three.
For the girls, Xavier is almost 8 IWR points ahead of the pack for the top spot with Red Mountain and Pinnacle taking second and third heading into Monday. Xavier junior Ashley Menne is the top-ranked girl followed by a couple of Red Mountain standouts in sophomore Sydney Bryan and senior Nicole Ewing.
Xavier Prep has won 35 state championships, including the last even in a row, and the Gators are led by Menne, a two-time state champion who has already committed to play for ASU. Brown finished in sixth place as a freshman last year and Ewing finished tied for eight as a junior.
Hamilton finished in third place as a team last year and the program has ended with a top-three finish every year since 2013, winning it all 2014. Brophy took second last year.
Christopherson took fifth last year as a junior. Sunrise Mountain competed in D-II last year and Lorenz took third place as a sophomore. Carlson came in 12th place as a junior.
