Canyon del Oro (Tucson, Ariz.) baseball team didn't get their diplomas on Tuesday like they were supposed to.
They were too busy winning a state baseball title.
According to MaxPreps correspondent Jason Skoda, the Dorados' nine seniors skipped graduation ceremonies so they could play for an Arizona Interscholastic Association Division II title. They won the game 3-1, getting the final out when a wild pitch went to the backstop and they caught a Tucson Magnet baserunner at the plate with a relay from the catcher to the pitcher.
