Campo Verde is looking for a new boys basketball coach following the resignation of the school's initial head coach Neil MacDonald, Campo Verde athletic director Renee Regoli said.

MacDonald, who began the Camp Verde program after serving seven seasons as an assistant at Mesquite, posted a 27-40 record in three varsity seasons. Campo Verde was 10-12 in the recently completed season. MacDonald resigned shortly after the end of the regular season, Campo Verde posted the opening on Wednesday (Feb. 13).

MacDonald is the second East Valley coach to step down since the regular season ended almost two weeks ago. Skyline's Michael Wirth resigned earlier this month after seven seasons there. Wirth was 74-112 in his tenure. The Coyotes' best season was in 2008-2009 with a 17-12 mark. Skyline was 14-35 the past two seasons.
