Our Valley Christian Spiritline's 2024 football season has officially come to an end. This was a very special season, especially for our eight seniors who really gave it their all.
The girls performed a heartwarming halftime routine on the October 25th senior night football game which highlighted our seniors and their abilities. They worked hard to perfect their routine for weeks and were very happy with the outcome. It was a bittersweet moment for the whole team, and we are all proud of the season they've had. The game was incredibly fun for the girls, as well as the football players who fought hard for their win.
Last Friday, November 1st, the girls cheered their hearts out for the last time on the football field. They came with energy and enthusiasm, finishing out their season strong. While it is sad that their season ended earlier than usual, the girls are proud of themselves and the football players. They had prepared a couple of fun stunt sequences to get the crowd engaged, and cannot wait to show them off more during basketball season.
The one and only freshman on the team, Brooklyn Eyler, having never experienced cheering for a basketball game before stated, "I am excited to cheer for a new sport and experience a different, more hype atmosphere."
One unique aspect about cheering for basketball season is that the team has a couple of girls who will be balancing playing soccer as well as cheering for basketball. This year there are five of those girls and they are extremely excited to stay busy and do well in soccer, as well as hopefully cheer on Trojan Basketball to their 4th state title in a row.
In conclusion, while the current football season may have come to an end, VCHS Spiritline continues to show their spirit in the upcoming season and we all can't wait to see what they bring to the basketball court.
